Legal form and tenure answer different questions. A cooperative/company may hold registered title and grant a member or tenant an occupancy right; members may instead acquire separate unit title; several owners may share undivided title (comunione); condominium co-ownership attaches to common parts. Cooperative shares or membership are not the same as title to a dwelling. Funding eligibility follows the instrument’s actual borrower, ownership, self-use and transfer conditions, not the project’s “cohousing” label. Record whose name is on title, who borrows, who pays shares, what right residents receive, and any lock-in/alienation or affordable-rent covenant.
