Start-up grant of the social ministry (MASFFJ) for initiators of new housing models: gemeinschaftliches Wohnen, Wohnen mit Versorgungssicherheit, Wohn-Pflege-Gemeinschaften, Quartiersprojekte. Applicants can be private initiatives, Vereine, Verbände, Kommunen or social/housing-economy organisations.
- Amount: max €10,000 per project, up to 80% of eligible expenses.
- Eligible costs: personnel and material costs of setting up and coordinating the group, external moderation and expert accompaniment, public relations. No investive costs (no land, no building).
- Gates: mandatory prior consultation with the Landesberatungsstelle Neues Wohnen (LSJV Mainz, Rheinallee 97–101); written support of the municipality; a project description showing the innovative character; spend within the current budget year.
- Apply through the Landesberatungsstelle Neues Wohnen, which also offers free general advice on gemeinschaftliche Wohnprojekte, WohnPunkt RLP (villages ≤10,000 residents) and Wohn-Pflege-Gemeinschaften, and runs the Wohnportal RLP project database.
- Capital-stack role: concept-phase money; stacks with rheinland-pfalz-gemeinsam-besser only if the costs are different (check with LSJV). Open question (not a fact): the page cites a 2024 brochure; the current-year budget and any Richtlinie date were not visible.
