The one Baden-Württemberg line a not-yet-incorporated cohousing group can apply for in its own name. “Gut Beraten!” hands out consultancy vouchers to civil-society initiatives, funded by the Landtag and administered by the Allianz für Beteiligung e.V.
- Amount: up to €4,000 per project for external advice, with a maximum daily rate of €800 plus VAT and travel costs. Material costs are excluded.
- Who: citizen groups, working circles, Bürgerinitiativen and registered Vereine in Baden-Württemberg — with or without a legal form. That is unusual: most funding requires an entity, so this is the money that pays for the advice on which entity to found.
- What it buys: a qualified external consultant for project development, organisation and implementation — group process, governance, or the legal-form decision that gates every later programme.
- Application phases run in fixed windows (Phase 46: 1 Apr – 30 Jun 2026; Phase 47: 1 Sep – 31 Oct 2026); applications go through the Allianz’s Förderportal.
- Related small line: the Beteiligungstaler gives civil-society groups up to €2,000 per project on a rolling basis for participation activities.
Open question (not a fact): whether an early-stage Baugemeinschaft counts as a “zivilgesellschaftliche Initiative” for this programme in practice was not confirmed with the Allianz; the published criteria do not exclude it, but the emphasis is on Gemeinwohl projects rather than a group’s own housing.
