Asturias established a direct grant for new-build or rehabilitation projects for cooperative-use housing, cohousing, temporary accommodation and intergenerational homes. The 2025 application window ran 7–28 October 2025 and is closed; the official service page reports “Plazo cerrado” on 5 October 2026. Eligible promoters named in the 2025 bases include cooperatives (including self-promotion/self-construction), foundations, social-economy entities, NGOs/public-benefit associations, public bodies and other listed private/public entities. A future call must be published; the general bases alone do not reopen applications.
Funded units must be rented or assigned for use for at least 40 years, with the commitment recorded in the Land Registry. Projects need jointly managed shared spaces, accessibility and minimum energy class A; resident household income may not exceed five IPREM. The grant may cover up to €420/m² of useful private and common area, capped at 50% of investment and €50,000 per dwelling. New builds have up to 36 months to complete (38 months for >50 homes); rehabilitation 30/32 months. Payment follows completion and justification, including evidence that at least 20% of subsidised homes are occupied under qualifying contracts. Submit online with proof of land/building ownership, surface right or administrative concession, works licence, execution project, viability analysis and energy certificate.
This is a strong, purpose-built regional route but the documented call is historical/closed, not an active 2026 call. The current regional framework is Ley del Principado de Asturias 4/2026, de Cooperativas (arts. 138 onward): housing cooperatives may develop homes and assign ownership or use/enjoyment to members, and an integral cooperative promoting use-right homes with autonomy-support services may use the designation “cooperativa integral de vivienda colaborativa” (art. 163).
