The Diputació de Barcelona’s 2026 Adquisició d’habitatges resource is for municipalities, county councils, decentralized municipal entities, associations of municipalities and consortia—not housing cooperatives applying directly. It supports local public acquisition via statutory pre-emption/withdrawal or purchase below market/at a regulated price. The application window is 4 November 2025–2 November 2026. Maximum grant is €50,000 for one home or €100,000 for two or more; eligible expense is acquisition price only, excluding notary, registry, tax and other ancillary cost. Purchases at below-market price must be below 80% of the current special-regime HPO module; the home must have at least 36 m² usable area. See the current catalogue for conservation, rehabilitation and occupancy review, one-grant per local entity limit, documents and justification. This can fund a municipality’s acquisition for local affordable housing stock, not a cooperative’s own acquisition.
Municipalities may also use the Diputació’s Espai Promovem advisory support to develop cooperative feasibility and public-land tenders, but that is technical assistance rather than a direct cooperative grant. See ct-municipal-cooperatives-habitatge and ct-icf-habitatge-social-adquisicio.
